Next Generation Spam Control
Many companies employ in-house email servers or 3rd party companies to combat email spam; this is not necessary with hosting services from Youds Media. You are able to take control of the most intricate and advanced spam control settings from the Customer Control Panel; including what happens to spam, individual spam folders and user-defined rules.
Email accounts are automatically setup with industry standard highly pro-active default settings; which loosely measures incoming emails against a database built up from a heuristic learning process; eliminating 95% of spam. Each account is given its own database that is automatically updated with the latest rule-sets, with additional data supplied by the email account users themselves. Emails are dragged and dropped into or out of individual user spam folders, then these emails are examined and used to build upon the accounts own local database of rule-sets. A proven method of effectively eliminating spam from Youds Media.
Data Backups and Server Setup
Youds Media runs its own hardware from a UK Based Data Centre, with off-site backups performed via an in-house tower server. All servers are updated with the latest software and security updates on a LTS cycle, ensuring maximum stability with a tried and tested platform. Carbon copy data backups are taken via an internal hard disk drive on a daily cycle, so should a hardware failure occur the system can revert to the secondary drive. In addition to local backup mechanisms, all customer data is backed up off-site on a weekly basis in a 256bit encrypted data format.
